Health consciousness

So I was wondering, is it necessarily bad that I count every calorie down to the last bit? For example, just a few hours ago I art a hoagie (bologna, salami, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, onions and peppers), I was literally counting every calorie it could of had in it, which kinda psyched me down to not eating all of it. But that's not the point, my point is, is it bad to count your calories to every meal?
